Electronic transactions
Rivora provides tools that allow parties to review documents and apply an electronic signature. By selecting an electronic-signature consent checkbox and submitting a signature, the signer indicates an intent to sign the displayed record electronically.
Consent and records
Signers should review the complete document before signing. Rivora may record the signer-provided name and email, signature image or representation, consent indicator, date/time, document identifier or hash, and certain technical information needed to maintain an audit trail. A completed copy should be retained by the parties for their records.
Authority
A person signing on behalf of a company represents that they are authorized to approve the applicable quote, agreement or document. Rivora does not independently verify legal authority unless a separate verification process is expressly provided.
Not every document is eligible
Some documents may require notarization, witnesses, paper originals, special disclosures or other formalities. Rivora customers are responsible for determining whether electronic signatures are appropriate for their specific transaction and jurisdiction.
Withdrawal or alternate method
If a party does not want to sign electronically, they should contact the business that sent the document to request an alternate process. Refusing electronic signature may affect the business’s ability to complete the transaction through Rivora.
